About Wildlands:

Wildlands is an annual music and charitable event held at the Big Sky Events Arena in Big Sky, Montana, with the iconic Lone Mountain as its stunning backdrop. Produced by Outlaw Partners, the festival brings together people who share a love for wild lands, outdoor recreation, and the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. This celebration supports important conservation efforts, with beneficiaries including American Rivers and the Center for Large Landscape Conservation, combining unforgettable music with a meaningful cause.

Event and Retail Experience

During the Wildlands Concert for Conservation for the past 3 years, I collaborate with a larger team to create standout merchandise that captures the spirit of the festival. This event presents a unique challenge, as competing with the artists’ own merchandise requires a strategic approach to stand out. To ensure success, I conduct thorough research on each artist’s offerings—analyzing their product types, designs, and color palettes—to avoid overlap and position our festival wear as a must-have.

I develop detailed concepts and proposals for new products and accessories, ensuring our offerings reflect the Wildlands brand and resonate with the diverse customer base drawn by the event’s lineup. Collaborating with an illustrator, I bring these ideas to life while aligning them with the festival’s broader marketing efforts. Once finalized, I secure necessary approvals and launch the merchandise through pre-orders to generate excitement and drive early sales.

To optimize retail operations and sales, I work closely with On Tour Merch, a retail support provider, to manage inventory and streamline transactions. Together, we ensure seamless integration of all merchandise, including the artists’ items, across three retail locations: one outside the venue and two within the GA and VIP areas. By enhancing the customer experience and tailoring our product strategy, I’ve contributed to significant sales growth and increased profitability for the company, solidifying the retail segment as a key revenue driver for Wildlands Festival.
